Locum Orthopaedic Registrar | $150 - $200 per hour | Western Australia | Flights & Accommodation Included

Due to increasing demand from our hospital partners across Western Australia, Global Medics is currently seeking experienced Orthopaedic Registrars for a range of upcoming locum opportunities.

We are working with multiple health services across the state requiring orthopaedic registrars to support their orthopaedic and trauma departments. These roles offer flexible placements within well supported surgical teams and exposure to a variety of hospital environments.

The Opportunity

  • Locum Orthopaedic Registrar roles across Western Australia
  • Placements available from 1 week through to several months
  • Opportunities across metropolitan, regional and rural hospitals
  • Work within established orthopaedic and trauma teams
  • Exposure to trauma admissions, fracture clinics and theatre assisting

Pay & Benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of orthopaedic and trauma patients within hospital settings
  • Participation in fracture clinics and outpatient services
  • Assisting consultants during orthopaedic procedures in theatre
  • Ward rounds and post operative patient care
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical teams

Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Experience working as an Orthopaedic Registrar within a hospital environment
  • Minimum 2 years registrar level experience in Orthopaedics or General Surgery
  • Experience managing orthopaedic and trauma patients within inpatient and emergency settings
  • Ability to participate in fracture clinics and ward rounds
  • Strong clinical decision making and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary hospital teams
  • Availability to undertake locum placements ranging from 1 week through to several months
