• Roster: Monday to Friday, 0830-1700

• Rate: $1200 per day (PAYG or ACN)

A regional hospital in Tasmania is seeking two Psychiatry Career Medical Officers (CMOs) to support their mental health services-one focused on Perinatal & Infant Mental Health, and the other within the Inpatient Unit. These locum opportunities offer meaningful work in a coastal setting, ideal for clinicians passionate about early intervention and acute care.

Service Overview:

• Perinatal & Infant Mental Health: This specialised service supports parents and infants during the critical early stages of development. The team provides assessment, treatment, and support for perinatal mood disorders, bonding challenges, and early childhood mental health concerns.

• Inpatient Mental Health: The inpatient unit delivers evidence-based care for individuals experiencing acute psychological distress. The multidisciplinary team ensures safe, coordinated treatment and recovery planning for patients and their support networks.
