Stage 1: Getting your skills recognised:
Before applying for a pathway to fellowship, you must apply to the Australian Medical Council (AMC) for primary source verification of your qualifications.
You are required to complete the following;
• Submit your medical qualifications directly to the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates for verification
• Create an electronic portfolio credentials (EPIC) account and confirm your identity
• Set up an online AMC portfolio
• Upload your qualifications to your EPIC account and request an EPIC report to be sent to the AMC. You will be notified when the check has been completed
The approximate fees for this are $540 and can take anywhere from 4 weeks – 3 months to have your qualifications verified.
