An excellent permanent opportunity is available for a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist to join a large and well-established regional referral hospital in the Riverina region of New South Wales.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality anaesthetic services across a range of specialties, including general surgery, obstetrics, orthopaedics, and emergency care
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours rosters
  • Contribute to teaching, training, and supervision of junior medical staff
  • Engage in quality improvement, clinical governance, and departmental development activities

Requirements

  • Specialist registration with AHPRA, or eligibility via the Expedited Specialist Pathway or Area of Need Pathway or Specialist Pathway (with the ANZCA assessment outcome - Substantially Comparable)
  • FANZCA or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in a broad range of anaesthetic procedures
  • Strong commitment to teaching, clinical excellence and patient safety
