Locum Consultant Psychiatrist - General Adult (Inpatient)

A regional Victorian health service is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide short‑term support to their General Adult inpatient mental health unit.

Service Info

The role involves a combination of support to our Inpatient Unit and our Crisis community team. We have a 12 bed adult Inpatient Unit which is also supported by a full-time Psychiatry Registrar and an Intern. We would welcome Consultants participation in the on-call roster but it is not mandatory. There is always a Psych Registrar on-call with the Consultant Psychiatrist so the Psychiatrist only receives an occasional call from the Registrar (not from other staff in the service). The only time it is necessary to be recalled into work is on occasion on Sat or Sunday mornings.
