Service Overview

A metropolitan South Australian mental health service is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide short‑term cover within their General Adult Inpatient Unit.

• The inpatient service supports adults experiencing acute mental health presentations.

• Consultants typically oversee 10-12 inpatients, supported by a full‑time registrar and full‑time JMO.

• Clinical responsibilities include inpatient reviews, multidisciplinary team participation, and supporting safe discharge planning.

On‑call: Monday-Friday, phone advice only, no recall required. Shift: 5:00pm-8:30am.
