Locum Consultant Psychiatrist - Child & Adolescent

A metropolitan New South Wales mental health service is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide support across their Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.

Service Info

This is a full‑time consultant role within a specialist Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service, providing psychiatric assessment and senior clinical oversight for young people aged 0-17.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team-including registrars, psychologists, social workers, mental health nurses, and family therapists-to support new referrals, review complex presentations, and guide treatment planning for conditions such as mood and anxiety disorders, behavioural concerns, neurodevelopmental conditions, and emerging psychosis.

Work is primarily community‑based, with clinic assessments and collaboration with crisis or inpatient teams as required. On‑call arrangements typically involve phone advice only, with no recall expected unless otherwise specified.
