Locum Consultant Psychiatrist - Acute Care Team

A coastal Queensland health service is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide short‑term support within their General Adult Acute Care Team.

Service Info

This is a full‑time consultant role working within the Adult Acute Care Team, providing timely psychiatric assessment, brief intervention, and clinical leadership across a fast‑paced community‑based service.

The Acute Care Team functions as the primary point of contact for adults experiencing acute mental health deterioration. The consultant will work alongside experienced clinicians, including mental health nurses, allied health staff, and medical officers, and may be required to review newly referred patients, provide diagnostic clarification, or support crisis management planning.
