A coastal hospital in QLD has an opportunity available for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join their addictions team.

This specialist addictions service provides comprehensive assessment, withdrawal management, stabilisation, and ongoing treatment for individuals experiencing substance‑related disorders and co‑occurring mental health conditions. The unit delivers care across both inpatient and community settings, supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes addiction medicine specialists, psychiatrists, registrars, nursing staff, allied health, and peer workers.

Consultants are supported by a full‑time registrar and junior medical staff, with access to structured teaching, clinical meetings, and peer review activities aligned with RANZCP CPD requirements. The service maintains strong links with community programs, rehabilitation services, and harm‑minimisation initiatives, ensuring continuity of care across the treatment spectrum.
