Consultant in Emergency Medicine - QLD

Global Medics is currently recruiting for a Consultant in Emergency Medicine role (on a permanent, full time basis) based at a major regional hospital in Queensland.

Located in the heart of tropical North Queensland, the hospital is a leading tertiary referral hospital serving a diverse and growing population of over 135,000 people. Following a A$405 million redevelopment, it boasts 318 beds, advanced operating theatres, a coronary care unit, intensive care unit, and expanded emergency and outpatient departments.

The purpose of the role is to assist the Clinical Director in the provision of high-quality clinical services as part of the Department of Emergency Medicine. The role is also involved in the education of medical staff and students, allied health professionals and interested community groups or nursing staff. Part of the role involves active participation in patient safety, audit, research, and service planning activities.

Total remuneration value of up to $552,485 per annum.

Requirements:

• Fellowship of the relevant Royal Australian Medical College or equivalent
• Specialist AHPRA registration or eligible to attain (Substantially Comparable)
