What you'll be doing
To provide quality clinical care and perform patient assessment and clinical examination of patients, both within the Emergency department, and occasionally outside the department (eg MET calls). To perform necessary procedures for Critical Care patients within the scope of abilities and training, or under the supervision of the Director of the Emergency Department and Staff Specialists in the Emergency Department.
Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role
Demonstrated commitment to rural and regional health with an understanding of the health requirements of these communities
Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills (at the required level of competency), judgement and expertise
Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem solving skills as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills
A professional attitude and flexibility in work role with preparedness and ability to participate in after-hours overtime and on-call rosters and the required rotations between services and geographical location to deliver patient care (including rural locations)
