Senior Registrar/ Advanced Trainee - Emergency Medicine

Our client is a non for-profit health service based in the heart of Melbourne. The organisation comprises of multiple acute, rehabilitation, and residential aged care facilities; with an aim to support education and research, to continually improve the quality of care of the immediate communities.
The hospital consists of 508-beds and includes an outstanding private tertiary Emergency Department. Other inpatient services include Cardiology, Cardiac Catherisation Lab, Oncology, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracics, Maternity, Obstetrics, Plastics, Day Procedures, ICU and Plastics.
The Emergency Department consists of 28 beds, with 24,000 attendances per year and an admission rate of 40%. The Department also has ACEM accreditation for 12 months of Advanced Training and Paediatric Log Book.
Role and responsibilities:
" Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance to the Organisation's values
" Provide medical care under the direction and supervision of senior medical staff
" Provide support for junior and senior medical staff as required
" Participate in after hours shift roster as required by the Department
" Participate in continual professional development
Applications will have:
" Candidates must be AHPRA registered with General Registration or eligible through the competent authority pathway with working rights in Australia
" Candidate must be a member of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM) and registered as an Advanced Trainee (AT of the College)
" All appointments are subject to a satisfactory Police Records Check and Immunisation Clearance
