Consultant Psychiatrist - Youth Forensic

The Mental Health and Addiction services in Northland are in need of a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Youth Forensic service.

Te Whatu Ora - Te Tai Tokerau are needing someone to provide assessment and management of youth presenting via the youth justice system. This is a key role that provides clinical leadership to Te Roopu Kimiora (TPK) and is an effective member of the multidisciplinary teams in their Mental Health and Addiction Services.

This is a great development opportunity to join a close-knit team and still be a part of a broader group of psychiatrists contributing to care across all sub-speciality services including; maternal mental health, early psychosis service and addictions. You will be required to participate in the after-hours on - call roster and be involved with supervision and training of registrars.

Essential Requirements:

- You must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand, or eligible for registration.

- If you are an overseas applicant, you must be eligible to apply for a relevant work visa.
