The Acute Continuum Home Based Treatment team, are seeking a consultant psychiatrist to join their team. This newly established service will provide community based support to those experiencing acute mental illness, and spend two days a week supporting the crisis team.
Due to this programme being in its infancy, the service need a clinical leader who will help shape the service and support the team as the programme grows.
Te Whatu Ora - Te Tai Tokerau (formerly Northland District Health Board) services a growing population of 190,000, spanning from the north of Wellsford to Cape Reinga. Whangarei Hospital is the largest in the region, and is supported by three rural hospitals in Kaitaia; Kawakawa, and Dargaville.
