About the role:

Work in a highly dedicated multidisciplinary team passionate about reducing inequalities and improving the health and wellbeing of the Northland community. You will develop public health strategic plans and policies to improve public health and safety, and assess threats/risk factors of epidemic diseases to pre-empt and control the outbreaks of these illness. Bring your expert public health knowledge to provide public health advice and operational support to improve the population health and primary health care in the region.

Located approximately 160kms north of Auckland, Whangarei is renowned for its warm sub-tropical climate, stunning scenery and a laid-back lifestyle. Essential:

• FNZCPHM or equivalent
• Must hold or be eligible for vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council
