Consultant Psychiatrist
Global Medics in conjunction with Te Whatu Ora - Te Tai Tokerau are in the search for a Consultant Psychiatrist interested in rural health.
The Far North of New Zealand, the gateway to some of New Zealand's most popular tourist hotspots, is in need of a Consultant Psychiatrist to support this isolated regions population.
Based out of Kaitaia, this service operates an integrated care model supporting a diverse and well dispersed population. Although this role is primarily community based, there is an expectation for team members to assist with inpatient work when needed. This role could see you travelling to some of New Zealand's most rural and isolated communities, so the service is in need of someone with a strong interest in rural healthcare, and a broad knowledge of general adult psychiatry.
This role can be filled on a part-time or full-time basis, allowing you to make the most of the region's tourist hotspots; Visit the northernmost point of New Zealand, and get a photo in front of the Cape Reinga lighthouse. Drive or walk the length of Ninety Mile Beach, go sandboarding down the Te Paki Sand Dunes, or soak up Māori culture and history at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds.
Essential Requirements:
