Consultant Psychiatrist - Child & Adolescent

Global Medics and Northlands Mental Health and Addictions Service are on the lookout for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to help support the region's younger generation.

This opportunity is perfect for an experienced Psychiatrist who wants to work with a community mental health team, catering primarily to individuals 16 years old and under. This position, located in Whangarel, may require travel to rural clinics, offering an exciting and diverse work experience.

The successful candidate must have, or be eligible for, specialist registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ). While FRANZCP and post-graduate qualifications are advantageous, the service is open to hearing from those nearing completion of their studies. Global Medics can assist overseas applicants or those not yet registered with the application process to obtain MCNZ registration.

Northland, also known as the "winterless north," is a beautiful region that boasts a warm climate, affordable housing, excellent schools, and scenic coastal areas that offer a range of recreational activities. Whangarei is just a two-hour drive or a 25-minute flight from the international hub of Auckland.
