Locum Consultant Psychiatrist - Inpatient Unit & Mental Health ED

Metro hospital seeking a locum Consultant Psychiatrist to cover inpatient ward and Mental Health Emergency Department for a one-month period commencing ASAP with opportunity to extend.

Service Info:

This 8-bed Short Stay Unit inpatient ward will support patients requiring short term care of up to 48 hours with timely mental health care for consumers requiring crisis interventions, acute care and those who have been assessed as not requiring emergency medical or toxicology care. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be delivering a range of therapies to support recovery from acute episodes of mental illness. Assistance in the Mental Health Emergency Department will be required.

Someone local is preferred, or with current Sunrise EMR training. Travel can be negotiated for the right candidate.
